Wow, if you didn't like Chad before, he's probably not winning any points with you now.... He's a big bully, no doubt about it.
In other news, Forum is still looking for new people, if you've got something to say about TOGM or just want to chat in general (so long as it's not in russian or about viagra.... Damn spammers), we're there.
Oh, we've also been updating the look of the greymeat.com website, so I'm pretty excited about that. You can see some changes to the layout here that sort of work with it. We started cutting the logo portion from the image so we can change / update it if we need to, but it looks weird on Comicfury without it. So I just hacked it in for the time being, and when I finally get enough time to finish editing all of the old files, we'll probably work on updating the CF layout as well.
Hope you guys have a great weekend, we'll see you on Monday with a new comic! (Or earlier on the comments / forum page..)
Chad is every abusive/alcoholic man in my life all rolled up into one. With his drawn/implied mannerisms, he reflects every jerk I've ever known. I guess that life experience is good for something? lol.
@moizmad - I like it too! Except that it makes my icon look even more lame in comparison ;) I've commissioned her to make me a new one, but it'll be when she has time to do it, so it might be a while before I can debut my new one ;)
@Lunaris_Starchilde - I didn't think you'd be terribly impressed with him today ;) Initially when I wrote it, he was just playing on the guilt side, but June asked if I would make him more of a bully, because she thought he was being too nice, even if it was disingenuine..
@NarcoticVenus - I hate when anyone does that ;) Bullies are bullies, male or female. The threat is probably over the top, and playing into the 'corrupt cop' image, but I have two PSOs who are trying to do the right thing, the right way, so I don't feel so bad about using a cliche...
@MarshmallowGherkin - It'll be fun to put him together with Karl in a car ;)
Chad would be a prime experimental subject for testing out those new bone-munchers..... I have no idea the name of the B-Movie they were from but they were invisible, sucked the bones right out of you after choking you to death or popping your head off like a dandelion and were ... dan dan daaaaa .... Disembodied Brains-w-spinal-chords
He's always been one... I mean, he was Enlightened while pursuing a woman who wasn't his wife... That's not the most noble way to go out either :)
As a character I like him because he's a threat to John on a number of levels, and John has very little option or opportunity to do something about him.
He's just sort of that big jerk who went out of his way to make your life more miserable, and there wasn't much you could do about it...
I hate Chad, but I'm not too happy with Beth, either. This man came into her house, assaulted her friend, and is now threatening to kill her friends as well as just being a huge asshole. Why hasn't she just told him to fuck off? I understand that he is a big man, but she is a 4 her standing should be enough to get this DICK to leave her alone.
@Namuri - He's not just a 4, not just using the XL15 body frame, and not even just potentially willing to break Robert's rules.. He's also a PSO, which have an almost untouchable authority.
He's my favourite character!
...maybe.
kinda...
not at all.
ok, I hate him too.

Nope, just don't like him.
Did I mention he's an assmonkey?

I can understand though, I've made the same mistake before xD
