Skrael (I'm the artist)
James asked me to upload this because he ran low on time and had to run out the door for work.

That's right people, we're back! I want to say thank you to everyone for being patient and allowing me the week off to recover from my surgery. It went well, I feel great, minus some soreness, and as you can see, I'm ready to get back into the swing of things!

We'll have one more update before Christmas! Aren't you all excited? Only 5 more sleeps!
Magravan edit delete
Noooooooo! Wonky Internet + tl;dr worthy post = Sad James.

And you're back too! I haven't seen you comment on something for aaages!

Congrats with your surgery!

I'm still suspicious about your wounds and missing body parts though.
Frosty edit delete reply
I...I what.
Those first two panels confused the hell out of me until I remembered what was happening in the story :D

And pah. Beth's being far too strict. Who -doesn't- have a security room in their fort? I most certainly do.

(What's this about five sleeps? How do you guarantee I'm going to actually sleep five times >:O )

And not to mention that I'm staying up late on Christmas Eve playing TF2 with Espeh and the rest of our group.
So technically, it's only four sleeps ;D

Glad you're back. I missed the canonical TOGM.

first of all: welcome back.

second of all: It's a good thing John didn't have a certain OTHER video pulled up on those monitors.
Skrael (I'm the artist)
You know, you ave a great point. The way that I've been sleeping this weekend, I'd believe just about anything. Here are my hours:

Thursday: accidental late nap: 4:30-7pm
End up staying up all night
Friday: slept 6am- 2pm

Up all night again, tried to stay up all day until...

Saturday: accidental nap 11am-6pm
Tried to go to bed at 12:00
Slept 12:30am-1:30am

Woke up .. Up ALL NIGHT .. grr

Sunday: slept 7am-2pm

And here we are now .. will I sleep tonight? YOU DON'T KNOW!
Micheal edit delete reply
Sleep schedules are annoying as hell sometimes.
Ferix edit delete reply
John is being abominably stupid for letting them in there on a regular basis, like nobody is going to notice that giant ass gaping hole people keep coming in and out of. It's not exactly hidden.
ranger_brianna_new edit delete reply
Stupid, yes, but oh so in-character for post-amnesia John. :P
-3- edit delete reply
Ice, do you have any idea how expensive surveilance gear is in a post zombie-apocalypse? Beth is not being strict, she's being cheap!
Jrade edit delete reply
Good to see that you're doing well, though really, I expected little else. I'm also glad that you were able to do a strip, because this means I won't need to draw anything else - and also that everybody won't be subjected to what I draw.

I must say, though, in my opinion: if RZed can gather and cobble together a working surveillance system, then I see no reason that he should be not allowed to install said surveillance system in his fort.

I never sleep today - only ever tomorrow.

Today, I went to sleep at eight. A.M.
I'll probably sleep again on the twenty-first.

why isn't the front door locked? or hidden?
if i remember correctly it's right next to the road
Skrael (I'm the artist)
I am under the impression that the door was locked, and at least semi recovered with the Earth that was camouflaging it before.

a party for skrael!!!! yay!
Magravan edit delete reply
@MatthewJA - Well, at least if she gets me, she'll be a Two ;)

@Ice the frosty cat - Oh okay... At first I was thinking that you meant that it just didn't make any sense... They were written before Guest Comic Week was planned ;)

@MatthewJA - And we all know that the British are notoriously bad sleepers... :D

@Ice the frosty cat - I don't know what the latency would be on an EU server, but I'd love to play with some comic making people :D

@Kevin - Glad to be back, and I missed the Canonical TOGM too...

@Skrael - Yes, eventually. Without me there, I'm sure you'll end up horribly bored and falling asleep ;P That's what happened to me yesterday, as soon as you went off to bed, I started nodding off :)

@Michael - Agreed!

@Ferix - It certainly isn't discrete :)

@ranger_brian_new - He's not exactly brilliant for such a smart guy...

@-3- - Well, we'll have to see what he does with her refusal :D

@Jrade - If Beth knew what John did with his, I don't think he'd be allowed to keep his either ;)

@Hagelander - It was locked and should be covered... I actually have been intending to show them covering it up for a while ago, but it's one of those scenes that I can't seem to make work.

@Onmiddellijk Getroffen - So long as it's all fat free :D Unless she's right about having been working with a useless gall bladder for so long that her body has already adjusted...

What if R.Z. finds that stripping Beth video? :O

Skrael (I'm the artist)
@Zep He would probably make a barfy-face and get all grossed out.
Onecanofsprite edit delete reply
Sorry, but I have a strane urge to kill anyone who counts the days to christmas as 'sleeps'. Or at least stare disapprovingly.
Skrael (I'm the artist) edit delete reply
Skrael (I'm the artist)
@Onecan .. yeah I'm not too impressed with myself either. To be perfectly honest, I'm not excited about Christmas at all :/
Magravan edit delete reply
@Barra - lol :) Thanks for the welcome ;)

@Zephirot93 - I'm guessing Beth would kill John :)

@OnecanofSprite - lol ;) She's a mom :D
luvlyjubblies edit delete reply
heh barfy face..
Magravan edit delete reply
Yum yum.....
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
she wouldn't kill him . . . since when does feeding someones brains to your adopted child count as killing?
Magravan edit delete reply
Uhm.. pretty sure that counts as killing ;) Though, I doubt she'd get in trouble in a Zombie Court :D
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
killing is an action that turn a living person into a dead person

since a one is technicly not dead it does not count as killing

I think the zombie geniusses played it stupid, they should have kept humans as cattle, forcing them to breed and then eating most males and all the old ones who can't breed anymore

what they have now is a society where a piece of steak is priceless, because they killed all the cows
MatthewJA edit delete reply
Killing: the act of terminating a life

Well, they're terminating a life, and beginning an unlife. Or beginning a new life, if you want.
We know from the start of the comic that they at least lost part of their previous existance after the enlightenment.

You need a wiki. For the canon.
ranger_brianna_new edit delete reply
Wikis are fun. :)
They do have a (sparsely updated) TVTropes page; close enough, right? :P
Magravan edit delete reply
@Hagelander - I think that there are probably many different interpretations of what killing means :) Mmmmmmm steak :P

@MatthewJA - I actually have a wiki software ready to go, but our host is so bad that I don't want to put one there...

If not for the forum, I'd kill that mirror and just redirect greymeat.com here...

So when we can afford to get new hosting from a better host, we'll probably do a wiki then...

@ranger_brian_new - Not really, no :)
snoog (Guest) edit delete reply
Hey skreal glad your feeling better really funny as always. I agree with haglander although by the time there were enough intellingent zombies to think of preserving humans they'd probably use them all to get that smart.

Here what I think should happen next
R.Z: Hey beth can I watch a video on john's tv?
beth: Ok whatever
R.Z. Hey your in this one...
beth: (smiling) Oh John... dear
and now john is dead
moizmad edit delete reply
Just so happy Skrael is well and ready to unleash a COMICFURY!
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
John is a grown man,
every teenager knows how to hide his stash of "intresting files"
we should assume that John also knows how to do this as well, since he has most likely been a teenager aswell
but i'd like to see beth reaction anyway

I think that the spinning chair>surveilance system for our little friend

Magravan edit delete reply
@snoog - Close, but not quite ;)

@moizmad - Me too!

@Hagelander - Technically, John doesn't remember his teenage-hood ;)

And you're absolutely right... I don't think that R.Z. spinning in the chair was part of the original script, but I think that the scene definitely shows that R.Z. is more interested in the whirly chair than the monitors... for now, anyways.
MatthewJA edit delete reply
Let me be the first to congratulate you on your recent move up the highly rated list :D
Magravan edit delete reply
Thanks ;) That's one list I don't care so much about... We had ratings turned off for a while... I only put them back on so that we could get on the Popular Now tab :D
