Quick note because I'm still playing a game with everyone else :) I will post a better author's note later!

Have a great weekend!!

So.. It turns out that it is a Bad Idea to stand too close to a grenade. Fortunately, having an inhuman shield to take some of the damage is helpful. I almost had to reroll a new character after the first game... He was kind of a one trick pony anyway, so it might not have necessarily been a bad thing... ;)

Anyway, enough about that... Here's the big question: Did the comic make it clear that John had traveled for some distance between panel 1 and 2? June and I were having a discussion about whether we could do the first panel as it was, or if we'd need to just have the entire thing out in the waste... Did you, as a reader, understand that distance was traveled off screen?

I was going to make the punchline a reference to Sylene's Law, but that strip was a loooong time ago for some readers, so I wasn't sure if people would get the reference :)

Anyway, sorry for the delay in the proper author's note. We were playing a game that went longer than usual due to having to look up some obscure rules... It was very enjoyable though, and while we just waded waist deep into a whole slew of trouble that we don't even know about, there was a lot of really fun and really nail-biting moments involved :)

So I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I'll hopefully see you guys on Monday :) We're going to be bouncing around scenes a little more now, so the next scene will be something else :)

Honestly, I don't think Sylene keeps running them down because it's an accident. I think she does it because it's just good fun :)

I hope she has run flats. Bones that size can probably pop tires if you catch it the right way. Wont help that particular zombie much, but these less than ones' can probably swarm.

That is one of the most well-placed strips of cloth I have ever seen. o_o Whew.

I like his expression in the last panel. ^~^ And his OMG-face in the panel before that. <3

Hooker Zombie?

I'm pretty sure what John's doing in panel 2 isn't safe.

Haha, beautiful, running down zombies should be an olympic sport. Also gotta appreciate the subtle jab at Sylene's record for killing off Ones.

And to me the transition from Panel 1 to Panel 2 seemed good, considering the background went from greenery to desolate wasteland, made sense to me he atleast moved. That and the dialogue helped that assumption along.

You'd think there'd be "ONE CROSSING" signs or some such for exactly this sort of situation.

Caution: Homeless ones.

Another great car Skrael, I dread drawing cars. If you draw them from an angle, the wheels/tires become a NIGHTMARE!
blackhoodcomics guy does them super though.

Poor Ones. They simply can't comprehend the fact that just because someone is behind the wheel doesn't mean they actually have any brains.

@bbedlam - I don't think it started out that way, but it certainly seems to have become the case :D

@idd - Ahhhh, that's if she actually went under the car :)

@Kristy - The things we do to keep the comic SFW :D Expect Austin Power-esque camera blockage, precisely timed moments where they just happen to be gesturing in front of any nudity and other perfectly placed strips of clothing :D

@Jrade - If you've got the money, I'm sure I can get her number :P

@Kevin - No, John's still working on his "Common Sense regarding driving" :)

@Syaoran - If I ever do get to make a game based on TOGM, I'll certainly have to include a portion of the level where you get to run down Ones :D

@Zomburai - Unfortunately, that requires that Ones actually follow any sort of logic or rules once they are out in the Waste :)

@Onecanofsprite - See, wouldn't she be have been better served tied up to the Phantom's wheel?

@madizmo - Yes he certainly does :)

@Lunaroki - Who's to say she was going for the guy behind the wheel? This particular One was going for the Car :)

Ahaha, awesome, I'm so making a save at that part just to do it over and over and over.. lol.

Well Mag...I do have an insurance settlement due in the near future...

...however, I'll decline - I think I may have a better alternative for my cash! Not to insult Zombie Hooker, but she's...not exactly my cup of tea...
Magravan edit delete reply
@Syaoran - Haha :) If I do make that game, I should have it make "Thump thump" noises every time you run someone down :D

@Jrade - Zombie Hooker IS insulted, and will see you in court for her portion of your money. Turns out zombie hooker also has a law degree...

wooohooo! pedestrian zombie! ten points at least! maybe twenty?
Magravan edit delete reply
I think you get less if they actively jump in the way of your vehicle ;)
Syaoran edit delete reply
I finally stopped being lazy and made an account. Oh dear!

And I dunno Mag, depends on how that zombie flew once hit, if you get it to cartwheel over the car you might get a bonus. Aha.
Magravan edit delete reply
Oh yes, definitely Cartwheel bonuses :) That's a given though :D
Thrudd edit delete reply
Cartwheels, twists, triple Samarkands, etc etc.
Me thinks using the Olympic gymnastic or diving nomenclature would be quite appropriate, up to and including a panel of judges giving a net score for each piece of acrobatics to be multiplied by the base value of the gymnast.
Simple pavement Pancake = 0.1
Triple somersault with a 2 1/2 twist = 5.1
Extra points for artistry .. etc etc etc
Magravan edit delete reply
That would be entertaining :D
