Hey guys, hope you had a great weekend! I am tiiiired after mine :)

Ahhh, Katie is just fun to write about... June added the crossed out text on the box, I thought it was a cute touch ;)

Okay, I've decided that I will open an email up, and basically choose a winner for the shirt from the people who email me. The winner will provide an address which I will put directly into Zazzle's thing so that I don't have to pay for delivery to me and then to the winner (As well as taking the time to ship to both places).

As with the Christmas thing, if you don't want to provide an address to which I can send it, please don't enter. I do promise I'm not a crazy stalker or anything nutso like that. I'm actually a police volunteer and a security guard, so I have police checks done on me on at least an annual basis nowadays (Thanks Ontario..) which maybe helps? Oh, if you're a minor, get your parent's permission before giving out their address too... That's just the parent in me.

Anyway, I'll post the email, probably in the next author's note (I haven't made it yet and don't want to sort through my regular mail to find it.) Have a great week everyone, I'll see you on Thursday :D

Laughing out loud at that box :D:D:D:D

Lol, this is funny, this guy is cool, like he hates his job so he doesnt care much anymore.
This would have been more funny had I realised that the writting on the box was referencing Katie (it is i assume). I was confused by the description as her hair looks dark greenish with red tips rather than black with green tips. Rest assured that this is because I have red-green colour blindness, a resonably common genetic trait that makes certain colours and shades hard to tell apart. Otherwise, great comic.

Dear Thisguy:

As a public figure for TOGM, I would like to apologise for the insensitivity on our part regarding your colour blindness disorder. As a token of our gratitude, we would like to offer you this lovely text box and the pixels that it is written with.

We hope that you feel that this is appropriate compensation for any grief that we may have caused you, and will continue to read TOGM in the future. While we may or may not always be able to keep TOGM colour blindness friendly, we hope that you can still enjoy the comic despite your reds and greens being mixed up like a freak.

The staff at TOGM.

(Hope you know I'm kidding) :D

Wow! If I wasn't such an Insensitive Bastard, that last comment might have offended me! ;)

As for the strip, I gave it a 5 (out of 5), the writing on the box pushed it up from a 4. Good show!

Hey, how come it always says "Flawless Victory" every time I pose, even if I make a typo? Wouldn't that be a flawed victory?

I wear an extra large, so get my T Shirt ready.

1) What shirt? Did I miss something? It had better come in a Small or a Medium.
2) What's in the box? Is this for Beth?
3) Why shouldn't it have been left with Katie?
4) Why does the interviewer totally NOT look like he's from a delivery company? (Oh, unless Katie is delivering takeaway. Unlikely, though not impossible, that she would deliver takeaway TOGM to the TOGM Factory.)
5) Poor interviewer. At least he still has a job.
6) Poor dead plant.
7) Fascinating to hear what Katie's hair looks like to the red-green colourblind (like my granny).
I think I should shut up now... and maybe lay off the chocolate.

ooo is she going to break Beth out?

I feel there should be comments about "what's in the box?" .. all said in a Brad Pitt voice. Maybe because I saw the re-run of Tosh.O recently where they did the whole riff on SEVEN.

That being said, I really like the boss. I feel I can relate to him, because if I had any authority I'd be too jaded to really care. What? You want a crappy job? You're hired!

@MatthewJA - I thought it was a cute addition :D

@Thisguy - Does that mean that Beth has long green hair for you?

@Skrael - Stop crushing our readers' spirits with your cruel, cruel jabs.

@T.Gatto - Well, it's a good thing that your sense of humour outweighs your inability to take a joke :D Flawless Victory is something Kyo scripted to let you know that there wasn't an error :)

And you guys can include your size in your email if you want :D

@aok666 -

1) A long time ago, we had said that we'd do an extra strip a week if we made it into the top 100 for a week.. So, the universe being what it is, we got in the same time that June got extra busy and wouldn't be able to do that.. so in place of that, I said that I would hold a contest for a free shirt.. Since we have been in the top 100 for more than a week this month, we'll give away a free shirt :)

2) Ask Wilson the Volleyball ;) (Too obscure a reference?)

3) Probably because whoever sent it thought that she was incompetent, or saw her with all the stuff she was stealing ;D

4) Uhhh.. no idea. ;)

5) Yes, but one that probably doesn't do much to fulfill his sense of accomplishment.

6) Looks like any plants that might be in our house. June does not have a green thumb :D

7) That... might help :D

@D_Man - I guess we'll have to see?

@bbedlam - I was thinking more the box from Cast Away, but given how many severed heads we've had so far in this comic, I can understand why you went for Se7en :D

-insert comedic satire on the fact that i've had the same hair as katie, and also am an incompetant deliveryman-
Thisguy (Guest) edit delete reply
Lol, thanks Skrael. And no, magravan, I also saw Beth with red hair, I dont have much trouble with primaries and really bright colours, its mostly shades, colours in nature, and ones against certain backgrounds. I often have trouble depicting the colour of small patches in a bigger picture, like here hair here, its harder at a distance. I Can tell the difference between green grass and a red apple (and yes, I can tell which one is a light green granny smith apple), and the difference between red and green traffic lights. Though I also often have trouble with shades in the blue/purple region, hence why in primary school I often coloured water purple :P

so this is a little off topic but I was going over my Google analysis for my comic and i have gotten 53 referrals from this site and i don't know why. originally i thought it was from the CF advertising i bought but I have gotten a lot since then. Books Don't Work Here doesn't seem to be on your links page either. I don't mind the extra traffic of course but not knowing is like an itch i cant scratch.
Magravan edit delete reply
@model S - Yeah, but she's incomptent at everything ;)

@Thisguy - That's really interesting to learn... I have to admit, I'm somewhat ignorant about colour blindness except to know that I don't have it after the vision tests I've done over the years for jobs...

@Kai Faydale - Well, it could be that you linked like you did right there :P Otherwise, I'm not sure. Probably from the time you advertised on the CF thing, and maybe some Analytics wonkiness thrown in there..

I don't remember what the issue was called, but a really good friend of mine had to wear green tinted glasses throughout school.

I'm looking forward to what's in the box. Maybe Chad's chip?

i know i checked out BDWH from an ad on here, but i dunno about the other 52. maybe it was all in the cards? ((cause 52 cards in the deck...))
T.Gatto edit delete reply

OK. I'm confused about the contest (dealing with baby add toddlers makes me a 1 sometimes).

So, all we have to do is E-mail you, or is there something we have to submit, for a competition?
Magravan edit delete reply
@Asheswillfall - That's interesting, I am curious what it was that needed them...

@model S - Yeah, I'm not sure what it was... I guess they should just be happy for the 53 and not worry so much about it...

@T.Gatto - I will create an email address, out of the people who send me an email, I will randomly (using an internet Randomizer with everyone's name) pick one and ship them a T-shirt from Zazzle. Basically, the people who are voting have enabled a contest that anyone who reads the comments can win, so if you win it and didn't vote, you can thank those voters for your good fortune :)

I saw a link to Books Don't Work Here in the adbar at the bottom of the comic one evening. I think that's what you're thinking of.
Cats can't see red and hence see blood as green...
@T. Gatto: is that meant to be "baby AND toddlers" or "baby ADD toddlers"? Either way, I don't envy you.
T.Gatto edit delete reply
@AOK666, That’s 1 Baby, and 2 toddlers. ;)

In the last 3 weeks I've been pooped on, peed on, and spit up on more days than I haven't been. I hear almost constant crying and screaming from the kids (who are apparently on a misbehavior rotation or something). I'm getting very little sleep, and my Toddlers are trashing the house and beating me up regularly.

That being said there is no one on the planet I would even consider trading places with, as I am having the time of my life. :)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Glad to hear you're enjoying it despite the pain. (Lack of sleep due to work overflowing into the night presumably doesn't have the same effects as baby-induced lack of sleep.)
According to an interview with a mum-of-13, if you don't feed the baby at night but just give her a dummy (pacifier) and change her nappy when she needs it - obviously feed her as much as she'll take at either end of the night - she'll work out within a few days that she might as well sleep through the night... please don't sue me if it doesn't work though!
