Hey everyone! I hope that the week is treating you well, and you're looking forward to a great weekend! If you're American, Happy Thanksgiving!

I have to say, I'm not sure if I should be depressed that this is my idea of a really good baiting into a fight... With Beth there to try to talk him out of it, I wanted to ramp it up without getting too offensive (to readers, not to the Security Guard), and this is what I came up with... Again, not sure if I should be embarrassed by my 'edgy dialogue' here because it's too offensive, or because it's not nearly as far as I could have taken it...

But, hopefully it sets up what I need it to set up... Namely that readers are content that the security guard has a valid reason to leave the area. And some secret thing that relates more to the overall plan for this book, but that's secret. So don't try to figure it out, because it will only result in frustration when you realize that this book isn't going to end nearly as interesting as the last one... And why experience that now when you can stave it off for another ... month and a half or so?

In other news, my dude is the head of the Mages guild, thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, and I'm starting to get back into the main storyline now... If you're one of those people who enjoys a game that isn't over in 10-20 hours, and you like fantasy type games, I highly recommend it. I've already put in ... probably over 40 hours... And I still have a lot of stuff I want to do on another character that I intend to build (My current one is a spellthief, my future one is going to be a Nordic Warrior with a freedom fighter bent)

Also, just as a reminder, if you want to hear some podcast-esque panels about the inner workings of comics and things related to comics, you can check the ConventionFury Site to listen to them.

The one about Community Building was one I participated in, and my comments about how great it was to have a supportive community was something that I could say thanks to you guys. Also, Model S, you suck for standing me up for your panel. Cuuuurse you!

Ahem. On that happy note, have a great weekend, we'll see you on Monday :)

I'd be upset if you DIDN'T draw the flames, June :D
FenBisher edit delete reply
The flames go well with the title of the previous comic...

And as far as non-offensive fighting words I think it was well played out
FenBisher edit delete reply
also should have added a worm hidden in there for "baiting the hook"

lol cheap gag i know but still
Skrael (I'm the artist)
Fen: I just might have, if I knew the title of the comic before I drew :D
FenBisher edit delete reply
Dont let the temptation of cheap gags get to you though...

Just little "easter eggs" would be fun and you could see if ppl could find them

you're doing it wrong D: direct frontal assault wont solve your problems! ductape a sleeping victem and a chainsaw/nailgun combo wil make all the anger go away in creative and fun ways :D

I'm gonna beat his ass, just as soon as my very busy schedule allows it!

@the creative team; Can you believe the nerve of somebody impersonating your characters on line, anonymously?

I like how this strip wad done, it conveys rage, impending violence, and how much of a jerk Chad is very well.

@model S - You didn't do your panel at the convention! The kind words are helping, but I'm still upset you didn't come!

@Muchacho NL - I didn't ask for them, but I think they helped the scene :)

@FenBisher - Well yes, now they are sufficiently fanned, I suppose :)

@Skrael - I tend to take inspiration from the whole scene before coming up with the title... Sometimes the art suggests a title that the action / dialogue did not :)

@FenBisher - I think it would be fun once in a while, but not necessarily all the time. If it were there as a common occurance, people would probably focus more on the Easter Egg finding than the story itself ;)

@DrjustFrigginKillThatGuy - I.... uhhh.... Duct Tape is fun in Last Night on Earth? :)

@The Phantom - So very strange :P

@T.Gatto - Ahhh, people are weird. So long as the readers know it's not us, and don't put any more stock into it than they would someone with a different name, I think it's all in good fun ;)

I just hope that people are getting that Chad was really playing things up, looking for things to say that could bait them into a reaction... He's not always at that level of jerkiness, he's just a bully who wasn't appreciating that Beth wasn't reacting...

So now he's ramping things up a little bit...

Wait...if they're zombies, and they can't breed through sex, why is he offended by the castration jab? It's not like he's using his balls anyway
Magravan edit delete reply
Because it's insulting to his identity, and the tone is meant to convey comtempt, which is often enough regardless of what is actually said :)

Chad, Chad, Chad the more you speak the more I feel like taking a black and decker screwdriver to the back of your kneecaps. -.-

and thats still the "nice" approach for what I'd like to do to him. Awesome character design for him been a total smeghead ^^
Magravan edit delete reply
We'll see what you think of him after the next strip... I had originally planned on moving away from this one in the next strip, but I think it's too great a scene to delay...
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Is the next one Chad's Ultimate Downfall then?
FenBisher edit delete reply
what did he say about guessing aok?
DrJustFrigginKillThatGuy (Guest) edit delete reply
yay chad thinks like me! everytime he opens that hole in his face its makes me want to strangle him with barbedwire.
Magravan edit delete reply
@aok666 - That's certainly one direction it could go ;)

@FenBisher - I tend to give varied answers to that depending on whether I think it's too spoiler-y, but most times I just ignore the question / pretend it was about something else and answer anyways :D

@DrJustFriggenKillThatGuy - And that's the goal :)

@FenBisher: and since when did TOGMites always do as they're told?

i know i was gonna get on but i had to go to the ER for a head injury! i hit my head really hard and then started getting dizzy, so i went to the ER thinking it'd just be a quick thing and ended up being there all day. i even had everything written out for convention fury while i was waiting. you go in at 5 AM and you're there till 6 PM. honestly, what if it WAS something major. but next convention fury, i'm going to be there come hell or high water. i listened to the panels by the way, everyone did great!

@aok666 - What DID I say about guessing? I can't even remember :) My usual response is that I'm amused with the guessing... The only time I didn't want anyone spoiling the surprise was the John / Thomas thing at the end of book 2 ;) I wont always answer the guessing, but I enjoy some of the crazy things you guys come up with :)

@model S - Okay, I guess that's a valid reason to miss the convention... ;) We would have also accepted Early Labour (and did!). Hopefully everything is okay now?

Thanks for taking the time to listen and let us know what you thought :)
