Hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend :)

I'm not sure if this one was a mistake... There were two major mysteries that have been made more clear... I'm not sure if I should be drawing it out more...

Check back one for an interview with June and I by Meager if you're interested!

Have a great week everyone!

holy mind blown, batman!

Btw Skrael, the link for voting didn't work.
Magravan edit delete reply
It might be broken... TOGM was 4 votes away from 9th place, so I'm pretty sure it's a conspiracy :D

At least it makes sense now how he was able to pull all that out of his butt and get people to believe it.
The cake is a lie.

Also if the "brains" didn't have any knowledge/info in them it would have no "nutritional" value.
The facial expressions are great in this. :)

I like the twist. That's really creative.

It's not a problem with the voting link... TopWebComics itself is having problems. I tried going to the main site and even did a web search to get there in case I had the name wrong and the same error appeared each time.

Writing on the back of a booby poster?

Skrael, why you so clever?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@Meed: it's not a booby poster, it's a... well, the other end.
@J&J: for some reason, I love the first panel. Although I love all of this comic really. And YAY the girl really was called Alice... probably. Whatever *happy dance*
Raises a few questions:
Do the TOGM brains have emotions etc or would they need "activation" in a human body for that?
How did Thomas make John's body?
Does John's brain have Mysterious Filler Stuff in it? (Is his brain just TOGM?)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Oh, and why does John still have his contacts in?

You know us so well, Skrael :)

Okay... interesting. So either John f*#$ed up with his "Alice" answer, or Robert is starting to forget it.
asheswillfall (Guest) edit delete reply
He wrote he pretends that her name was Lisa. What I wonder is why does he question Thomas as if he has some project to create multiple clones of the guy?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@asheswillfall: because it would be very easy to build a copy of Thomas' body and face out of zombie replacement parts and fit them to a zombie, making a perfect copy of Thomas. (I'm guessing that Robert can't work a CAT scanner?)

@asheswillfall - There's more to it than just this, but it helps to explain some of John's more unexpected knowledge... What's important to me though, is that people realize that this isn't just something I pulled out now that it was getting too convoluted, and can see examples of it from considerably earlier on in the strip... Or at least when you guys get more explanation about it ;)

@Linden - Thank you :) I wasn't sure if I wanted to drop it this quickly, but there was some talk that I might need to expedite certain things for certain reasons, and this was part of that :)

@Croaxleigh - Yeah, I tried going directly to the site as well.. The funny part being that the link that you're supposed to contact him with went to a dead link as well. I sent Richard an email directly just to let him know, though I'm guessing so did hundreds of other people ;)

@Meed - In the script or in our discussion I basically told her to make it look like a paper that had been repurposed.. I was thinking maybe it'd have a logo and some writing with the green writing over top of it... But no. ;)

@aok666 - Technically it's an everything poster :) Those are interesting questions :)

I will answer one of them.... Hmmm... John still has his contacts in because the writer of the comic has no clue how real contacts work, apparently ;)

@Muchacho NL - No, Alice was her real name :)

@asheswillfall - Keep in mind, it's not difficult to make people look like someone else in the TOGM world. Out of all of this, Robert's paranoia that his friend has been replaced, is probably the most valid point being made (and even more so now!)

@aok666 - Yeah, exactly ;)

@Magravan: YAY her name really was mine *extra-happy dance*
What will Robert do if he finds out the truth? Put the Phantom's lot on Trophy Case Duty? Without them, a) Thomas wouldn't have been in the desert (he was there to protect John, who was there to protect RZ, who was there to save Sylene from the Phantom's gang) and b) that One would have had a working tracker and might not have been in the desert either. Oh, and c) Phantom and Co sprung Thomas in the first place!
Then again, Robert is by definition smarter than all humans hence he might have a better plan. Although he still shows human anger and reactions a lot of the time, so he might just punish them as much as possible. And possibly kill John, despite John having nothing to do with the plotting or the dying. (Maybe this time he really will be proper dead.)

Re: contacts: I just thought that Robert would have removed them when treating John's wounds.

Okay, I misread that last note.
He pretends she's Lisa, and John says "Alice" and he's all like 'oh, I forgot'.
So that means either Thomas has prepped a clone (John) or there was an accident.
T.Gatto edit delete reply
Damn, now everybody knows to hide secret Zpox notes behind babe pinups. I might as well look for a new hiding place. Thanks a lot Skrael. ;)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@T. Gatto: try the textbook trick: cut a hole in the middle of a huge dull out-of-date textbook and hide stuff in it.
Magravan edit delete reply
I'm really enjoying the fact that this has prompted a lot of ideas about the situation, but they aren't all the same, which means that I haven't completely destroyed the mystery :)

@aok666 - I think that if Robert finds out, it's going to be .. troubling for him.

@Muchacho NL - Well, presuming the John is the decoy, Thomas just said as much in this one :)

@T.Gatto - Sorry for ruining the return on investment of your babe pinups ;)

@aok666 - I want to do that for no other reason than to say I have a secret book stash :)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
I can just see John having a nervous breakdown and sitting in his room going "quack" (he's a decoy duck!)...

Without Thomas around, I think Robert would probably lose whatever humanity he had left and become the heartless monster he almost is already. Unless, of course, John is similar enough to Thomas in personality - something which I doubt, because you're skilled enough to not take the easy route out.
I actually feel a bit sorry for Robert...

You think the book stash is good? You can hide stuff in a shampoo bottle (in a plastic bag).

"because you're skilled enough to not take the easy route out."

I sure am! *frantically rewrites the rest of the comic* >_>
