Hey everyone, I hope you had a good weekend!

One last reference to Katie's multitude of jobs! Yay :) Leave it to Robert to be underwhelmed at the grand breach of his security... I guess when you mass summon everyone still chipped, you can't really be surprised when people exploit the holes left behind.

So there's two left, and thankfully, they're already written. I get the feeling that a lot of people are going to be disappointed. It can't be helped, unfortunately. Still, it is an ending, and I'm happy with the point that it leaves off on.

Well, 2 more! Have a great week!

If you happen to read this before the fixed version has gone up, the first line in the second panel is Sylene's... She's not just awkwardly walking with her mouth open for no reason... >.>

I'm not ready for you guys to go.... I still have questions. I've really enjoyed the ride though. You and June have brought me (and my daughter who wants to be an artist)a great deal of enjoyment. It's not often a good story comes along and this one is a refreshing take on the zombie myth. I really do hope the untold stories nag you until you HAVE to write them, and do something soon. other than that, I'm fortunado1972 on 360 and Battle net and I'll check back here at least once a week..

It's so sad. Have loved this story so much unresolved. Hope John ends up with Beth. Thanks

I am going to miss this series so much.

And yes, I absolutely WILL be disappointed. But I'm sure it won't be due to the story, just due to the fact there won't be any more of it.
Skrael (I'm the artist)
I've been in hiding because I feel extremely bad about having to end it, but you guys are making me all choked up this morning :)

When I see RZ run to John, I think of the Chariots of Fire song in my head, like (for RZ at least) it is the end of a long journey.

I just hope he doesn't eat John's brain, when he finds the truth out. ;)

quote Magravan: "I guess when you mass summon everyone still chipped, you can't really be surprised when people exploit the holes left behind."
quote John (or would that be Thomas): "Robert has rather obvious blindspots."

I thought I'd let you answer yourself on that one :)

We will miss you and I've talked in public with people about this comic and how cool it was even for you guys to do contests with fans drawn in the comic. <3 lots of love for the excellent work

@neon5162 - You're welcome, and thank you for reading :)

@Fortunado1972 - I think that's been one of my favourite parts about this story, turning the zombie myth on its head and seeing what I could do with it. I think that a lot of times my execution was less than ideal, but the core concept is a pretty decent one, I think.

I don't have 360, and after being quite disappointed with Diablo 3, I haven't bothered with battle.net much...

@Snoog - I think that given the fact that I only have 2 more strips, I managed to provide a lot of information... It's something of a text-wall info dump at times, but there are a lot of points addressed.

I can say that John does ultimately end up with Beth, but it's not something that really gets dealt with by 300.

And you're welcome :)

@Beadle - I'm sure it will be a little bit due to the story :) Sometimes the buildup involved with the mystery is more enjoyable than the ending... ;)

@Skrael - <3

@T.Gatto - Haha! That seems a pretty fitting song, all considered :)

@the_brigand - Well, there is that, yes :)

How about numbering your comics 299a, 299b, 299c etc etc for the next couple of years or so? 300 doesnt have to be soon!

Magravan edit delete reply
Haha! :) If only our problem was an aversion to the number 300 ;)

Man... I have been reading this since the beginning... It has been awesome, I will be sad to see it end, thanks for everything that you guys have done to make it happen.

@Skrael - Please don't feel bad, or feel that you have to hide from us! I would hope that most of your fans would understand, even if we do show a little disappointment. I don't want either of you to feel bad, I'd rather you celebrated the completion of something great!

I would just like to say how much pleasure you and Magravan have given me with this story. As they say, always leave them wanting more!

I'm looking forward to seeing the final episode. TOGM is not something I'll forget in a hurry!

FYI, that picture of Beth as a nurse with a tray of TOGM and the ones peering over her shoulder is what originally caught my attention on TWC. I guess the series was already well under way then?
Sleel (Guest) edit delete reply
Soooo, if they can't see green, do all the guys in green camo look like floating heads and hands?
Magravan edit delete reply
@Blazer - Thanks for sticking with us :)

@Phineas - I think we'd done quite a few strips... It was basically done for bookmarks that we were going to hand out at FanExpo... So yeah, we had some strips under our belts by then.

@Sleel - They can see green in general, just not that green stuff that comes out of them when wounded :)

Just discovered your comic a month ago and I'm sad to see it a go. I really enjoyed the story and unique spin.
just_idd (Guest) edit delete reply
my only remaining question is will you name a kid Arzee and not tell him the meaning of his name until he is older?
just_idd (Guest) edit delete reply
On second thought,no, don't. I can't think of a phonetic spelling that doesn't give it away and isn't too close to Arse which any 10 year old would pick up on to the kid's lasting mental anguish.
the_brigand (Guest) edit delete reply
Between all this talk about ending the series, I just wanted to point out that panel 3 is fantastic.

Idk, maybe she had magnetic plates installed in her head that one week she spent working as a metal detector? :p
The gps chip she had implanted her first day on the job as a tracking device?
Two weeks training for her homing pigeon gig?
Magravan edit delete reply
@Milt - Well, on the plus side, you got most of it in one go, so you didn't have to endure the trudging pace as much as some other readers :) But I'm glad you enjoyed our take on Zombies :)

@just_idd - Errr no :) Definitely wouldn't do that to a kid ;)

@the_brigand - I agree, I really enjoyed what June was doing with it... I think that she's trying to make up for stopping by putting extra effort into these last few strips.
