I might have to finish this up at a secondary point, so I'm going to put the pertinent information first.

Jrade made us a guest comic. He is awesome for said help. Check out The Rebels and Beta Particles for more of his work. Thank you again!

Okay, I have a bit more time now!

I wanted to send a very profound thank you to everyone who understands our current predicament. I told June from the outset that if we started getting to the point where we were posting "Oops, sorry, didn't have time to put up a comic today" on a regular basis, we'd end the comic and call it a day. I don't want to be the guy who is always having to apologize...

So to have readers understand that this is a temporary situation, and to be understanding and unbelievably supportive, I'm genuinely touched. I guess I'm just grateful for the type of readers that we seem to have...

Okay, specifically for this strip, Jrade took the concept of 4s being deceptive later on in the TOGMpocalypse... This is very likely how some of the people who were well prepared zombie hunters got taken down. If the zombie apocalypse ever did happen, be careful if they show signs of intelligence...

This strip shows very obviously WHY the TOGM world's zombies managed to seriously take over. I posted a Cracked Article a while ago that said something along the lines of "You remember that one time where the dog got rabies and then within a month, the entire world had rabies? No? Because it never happened?" This is actually one of my problems with The Walking Dead series from what I've seen so far... They present a credible threat to a group of people outside of society with limited ammunition.. But SWAT? JTF2? The elite soldiers of every military out there? They are WELL trained to SHOOT. 2 shots in the main core, one in the head. Zombies = bullet saver. It's not like they move quickly to dodge! Unless there's a biological, airborne portion of it, I just don't see the kind of widespread zombie-ism that they've shown thusfar, considering how pathetic their zombies are.

TOGM, on the other hand... They weren't pretty to start with, but the very first attack resulted in a zombie who could use rudimentary planning. That means that by the time that the authorities were called in, there was probably at least a couple 3s... That means that they have the ability and intelligence to systematically hunt down their targets, and grow their numbers. You would have had a zombie underground, where Ones were caged to prevent them from competing with the Threes and Fours, and once you had Fours... Well, it was practically game over for 90% of the society. Robert took care of the rest. When you can outthink the entire remaining populace, hack like it's no one's business and have access to all of the best technology that the world has to offer, and a slew of people to use it.... Well, let's just say that the chances of a TOGMpocalypse is thankfully practically non-existant. Except maybe by Quantum science standards, but if you use that, you've also got a shot getting with your favourite celebrity ;)

Well, that was a fair rant... Thank you again Jrade!

Oh, because the community in Comicfury is awesome, we have ANOTHER guest comic that I'll post on Saturday which will actually be 2 guest comics merged for 1 update :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm always happy to help.

This is...this is...the best thing I've ever seen!

Heheh...heheheh...damn. Couldn't say it with a straight face.

I would hope that this strip stands as evidence of why I stick to either basic drawings, or computer-generated graphics.

I really should have at least put in black, or something, as a background...

...but hey, too late now.

It tells the story, which is all you can ask for :) It's better than I can do, but as I told June when we first started, the more you do it, and the more you challenge yourself to be better, the more that you'll improve.

I think the black would have detracted from it as a background too... So probably for the best ;)

That's why you shoot everyone in a Zombie Apocalypse, unless they can demonstrate that they are human. Shoot first and ask questions later, that's my motto. I'm also working on a ranged heartbeat monitor and thermal-imaging sensor.

(Kidding, maybe)

tl;dr: We (the readers) are awsome, There is a valid reason why togm zombies could conquer the world

I gues that zombie has a bad hairday :p

Haha! Fellow Cracked fan.
Also, call me a conspiratorial, but I kind of think that if Robert's pulling all of the strings and INVENTING TOGM, there has to be some motive...
Like never actually being a zombie.
Early guess in the game, but I guess we'll see.
Also, great comic, Jrade!

@Jamming - I'm sure that a number of people probably went down to friendly fire... The extreme diehards would have went down when the zombie society reached a level of capability where they could mount a serious assault on them... ;)

@Hagelander - Yeah, that's a good tl;dr :) Thanks for reading so that everyone else can skip it :D

@DerrickMichael5 - I love that site, it makes me laugh so hard sometimes... My one problem with them is that it seems like their 'crowning' point tends not to be the funniest one... I often find myself killing myself laughing at #4, and then still laughing about #4 while I'm reading #3 and 2, and then by #1, I'm thinking "This isn't as funny as it could have been..."

Not specifically to any one thing, it just seems weird that their best stuff is rarely #1, so it's sort of a let down...

@Hagelander -

Wow, you really didn't have anything to say to Hagelander!
Magravan edit delete reply
Yeah... Apparently I messed up the formatting and instead of Hagelander's message being on that line, it was part of Jamming's reposnse...

I fixed it now, just so that when Hagelander reads it later, he's not like "wtf?" :)
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
I'll act like nothing happend, since it's already fixed and I havn't seen the mistake

funny tough, the diehards are the ones

hhm . . . I was going to make a nice pun about "the diehards are the ones who died last and are thus the ones who are the ones" but now it doesn't seem funny anymore so screw it

I laughed, but I'm tired, so I'm not exactly the most objective audience member ;)

Those who opt in early get the chance to become 3's and 4's, but in the end there can be only 1's. ^,^

That's awesome! :D

I can so totally see this happening, and it would work beautifully. :P

Basically, I love the TOGM world a great deal. I mean, it's like, one of the most popular comics on the site for a reason. (Fortunately, it has not, uh, been dumbed down by its number. :P)

"(Fortunately, it has not, uh, been dumbed down by its number. :P) "

What do you mean?
MatthewJA edit delete reply

...Where's my alt text!?
Frosty edit delete reply
I have one thing to say to your rant ;D
Magravan edit delete reply
@MatthewJA - You were the one exception to my use of alt-text! Haha! Technically this was as much your alt text as anything ;P

@Ice the frosty cat - I'm just hoping that there's a better excuse.. when you bring the army in and have them fail, there really needs to be a good reason for it...
ranger_brianna_new edit delete reply
You're one of the most popular comics on the site. Your comic hasn't been dumbed down by its number. ;)
MatthewJA edit delete reply
Wait, was the lack of alt text in any way related to my comment here?
Magravan edit delete reply
@ranger_brian_new - Oh, I get it now... :P

@MatthewJA - Not at all. The lack of alt-text was my not having anything worth putting in alt-text. The alt-text in this one, however, was in reference to your comment about it lacking alt text in the last one ;)

I guess there's only one way we males can prove we're human...walk around with a raging boner.

I think that if you can keep it up with the stink of rotting flesh, and running for your life, you're superhuman ... or just into some really, really weird stuff.....
